Digital SAT Strategy

The Digital SAT is shorter than the paper test (134 minutes) but adaptive: Module 1 performance determines whether Module 2 is the easier or harder version. Smart pacing in Module 1 directly affects your scoring ceiling.

• Always answer every question

  There is no wrong-answer penalty. Blank answers and wrong answers score the same — so guess on anything you can't solve.

• Win Module 1 to unlock Module 2 Hard

  You need roughly 14/27 on R&W Module 1 and 12/22 on Math Module 1 to advance to the harder Module 2. The hard module is the only path to scores above ~650 on each section.

• Flag and return

  You can move freely within a module. Flag any item that takes more than ~90 seconds, finish the rest, then loop back. You cannot return to a previous module.

• Use the on-screen tools

  Use Mark for Review, the question navigator, and the built-in Desmos calculator on Math. They're allowed on every question.

• Pacing targets

  R&W: ~71 sec per question (32 min ÷ 27). Math: ~95 sec per question (35 min ÷ 22). Front-load easier wins, then revisit flagged items with whatever time remains.
